He was going that slow according to the kids, he swerved to try to avoid him but it didn't work. None of the kids blame the driver, they all feel so sorry for him.

He fell off the kerb, I don't think anyone would have reactions quick enough to avoid that, let alone in an eight tonne bus.

          My sympathies to all concerned.
When I worked in school grounds maintenance, I was sometimes involved in providing and planting trees in memory of pupils or teachers who had passed away.
It was always pleasing to see the families and colleagues of those who were lost gain some measure of comfort from the knowledge that here was something which would go on living an growing for years to come.
We plant trees in memory of loved ones who are lost, even when a much loved pet dies we often place them in the garden and plant a favourite flower or shrub to mark the spot.
There is probably some deep spiritual message in all this which escapes a simple bloke like me, but perhaps as gardeners it's just good to know that maybe we can help in our own small way on such occasions.

            Ziggy,

So sad to hear the news of this little lad. It tugs at your heartstrings, especially for his parents. I offer my condolences of course.

              Cheers Sheal,

Will take a while for the Village to get over this one. But it has brought people together.

Been to too many funerals recently, spent the day cutting the stone for a grave marker too. Just hope the grey clouds lift soon, this should be a time of regrowth and hope, not sadness.

It's a shame it takes something like this to bring people together. The clouds will lift to bring bright new days, hang in there. :)

Ziggy so sorry to hear about what has happened to that little lad and mine and Mr Kandies thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.

They will never ever get over this and no words could express the pain and suffering they are going through at this moment in time.No doubt the little lad had many friends who will now be distraught plus the teachers who taught him..

They say that time is a great healer and I do agree but when it is someone so young and with so much life to look forward to it is hard to imagine that village life in Langport will ever be the same.

RIP little one,and Gentle Jesus up above please give that little one your special love...

That's devastating news. What an awful tragedy. I wish I had some wise words right now but I'm stuck. Nothing will ease the pain that the lads parents now have to endure, but I hope it helps in some small way that so many people are genuinely giving their sympathy.
