Thank you but you're killing me!!!

    For some reason Kristan after i had transplanted them they stayed more or less at the size they went in at.
    Then after about 6 weeks just went brown and died

    Micky you have me convinced to seed a few directly too. I just don't think we have enough growing season but i'll soon find out!! ;)

    Kristen they are not in any of the gardening catalogues I have here. I'm just about to go on line to see if I can find the seed in Canada.......

    Oh! :(

    One of the things that I read is that the tops of the cardboard (or newspaper) shouldn't stick out of the ground, because it acts like a wick drawing moisture up from the compost.

    Do you think that might have contributed in your case?
