You live in the land of freefix - if I can solve it, without any cost to you, I will. I suspect that what is needed is enabling flash in some way or other - however, I freely admit that I am not as familiar with Edge as I perhaps should be, hence the time for me to have a poke about

Hmmm, just had a thought on that. The jigsaw piece at the top of the screen for blocked Adobe content, should I hit that? I very rarely use it. :)

Yes - that is the one. Adobe make flash - flash is the thing that a lot of browsers are disabling by default now (despite the fact that doing so is causing all sorts of issues with favourite websites), and it is flash that this site uses for things such as quotes and image uploads. If you get the choice to do so, enable flash permanently and see if that fixes the quote problem

No FC, it makes no difference.

What about the 'Blocked Content' icon? It states I'm only seeing secure content.

Flying blind here, as not tested, but there should not be any blocked content so enable it and see

OK - holding the cats bum to the sun, I am currently using Edge and have quoted you without issue, so the problem is local (your PC)

Things to check - Adobe Flash as you already have, internet cache (log out, run CCleaner, log back in), or any antivirus/anti-malware

That's how I've always handled the quotes! :noidea:

If I click on 'Quote' instead it puts it on my clipboard. Whereas clicking 'Reply' puts it straight into my post.

I thought that was how it is supposed to work. :)

Just changed over to Firefox today . Chrome was forever locking up , even after a reinstall.
                    Firefox seems OK so far.

Is it safe to do that, release the insecure content?

Ccleaner is run regularly so it's not that @Fat Controller

I'd never used reply @shiney until the quote button went bottom up! If I want to reply I use the button at the bottom of the post on the right.

Almost without fail (99.9%), yes - you antivirus should catch any (remote) possibilities of nasties.

Give Firefox a fair trial @Sheal - it is stable, reliable and for the most part trouble free. Of course, you have my commitment to remote in and see if I can offer free live help at any time. :blue thumb:

I've just tried refreshing GC in my favourites listings which has altered things in the past, but still no luck. I also ran another Ccleaner after.

Sorry, @Fat Controller, I've installed Firefox twice before and there's no point in trying again, it just doesn't work for me. The same with Google. It's almost impossible for me to upload images to GC if I use them and they create other niggles too. I'll point out that this was the same before I installed Windows 10 and the same on my last laptop. Before W10 I had no choice but to use IE and Google with W7 and there were always issues including image uploads. My current set up works very well....with the exception recently of the Quote button problem but I can live with that. :)

Thank you, if I feel the need for you to tinker under my computer's bonnet I will definitely ask, even though I hate taking up your valuable time.
