      Looking good. :blue thumb:

      1,000

Here are some of our Nagas. I hope to sell the plants to raise money for our charity. Most members of the public won't buy Nagas but the Asian wholesaler who supplies Indian restaurants will try and sell them for us. :dbgrtmb:

Different stages of growth but all photographed at the same time.

Have you considered pasteurising them, rather than freezing? I use a boiler similar to this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bielmeier-6...UTF8&qid=1430653724&sr=1-6&keywords=bielmeier for all our bottled pasata, plus use it for bottling our pressed apple juice and also extract fruit juices for bottling using a steam juice extractor top. Weck do some cheaper models such as http://www.amazon.co.uk/1/dp/B000VJ...ie=UTF8&qid=1430654083&sr=1-154&keywords=weck , or about £80 for an enamelled version, we use their jars for pasata and they can stacked on top of one another submersed in the water http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_pg_1?rh=n:11052681,k:weck&keywords=weck&ie=UTF8&qid=1430654116

I'm almost ashamed to say that my chillies are only just starting to show flower buds....

I sowed them in February, but they seem to be so slow to get going.

They'll do OK now. There are always debates as to when to start feeding them but I'm always happy to start once the buds are on.

Now this raises another question . I plant all my chillies with slow release fertiliser , is it still advisable to feed tom food when the flowering starts?

          Harry,

Last year, I used Formulex ( http://www.growthtechnology.com/product/formulex/ ) as my all round liquid fertiliser, and when buds started showing, I used Buddha's Tree pk 9-18 ( http://www.buddhastree.co.uk/pk918.php ), I had a huge number of buds and had a great harvest as well.

Last year was the first year I had grown a large number of Chilli plants, so have no past comparison, but suffice to say, I'll be growing in the same manner this year.

I should just add, that my chilli plants were mainly in pots and I used 30% 5 year old manure, 65% compost and 5% perlite, the bottoms of each pot had about a 15mm base of Hydroton clay pebbles.

I recently won a competition and have got a 10KG bad of Volcanic rock dust coming through, which I'll be using as well this year, the Kernow Chilli Farm swears by it.

            Hiya Nathan :blue thumb:
On the strength of that, I've ordered 5 litres. Seems it's useful for house plants too. Did you feed from the start? Also, what lighting did you use in the aquarium?

I did and am feeding my baby chilli plants with it, though as young plants, I am feeding at approximately 1/4 strength.

It is the Buddha's tree which really does make the plants flower heavily, it isn't cheap, but when you work out how concentrated it actually is, I still have half a 250ml bottle which I bought at about this time last year. One thing I would say about it's use, is that it is unfortunately not organic, and I was advised to stop feeding with Buddhas Tree around 2 weeks before I was going to harvest any pods, as it 'may' affect the taste, after 2 weeks though, it will have worked itself out.

Primarily, Buddhas Tree is aimed at Cannabis Growers (the labels are a dead give away :snork: ).

There are other fertilisers that can be used ie Chilli Focus etc, but I liked the idea of Formulex being the all round fertiliser, as you said, for use on house plants as well. I also use Formulex to give the Chilli plants a foliar feed every week during the growing season.
