@blacktulip I don't care for hot or spicy foods however I grow hot peppers every year because my oh and many friends love culinary torture. I personally feel that to eat those, one must be a masochist. :yikes:

But to each their own..:noidea: and I get to grow more pretty plants

Mine have begun to come through. This is the earliest I've sown them so see how it goes.
One lot is from a chilli that I froze about 5 years ago. Last time I had a really good crop.

My Chillis are also just showing after 7 days in the airing cupboard . They are now on the propagator in the light . In another week I will move them to my bijou light box on the end of my desk. :blue thumb:

The Naga seeds that we put in the seed sprouter don't look too happy (possible mould) so I'm going to pick a very ripe Naga and take the seeds from that.

Look at all the types of Chili seeds offered here. WOW. Home page

as I am looking though this, did not realize how paprika is made, dah. so I might just try my hand at growing it. as I do use it in cooking. Chili however, not so much. Husband is not a spicy guy, just a tiny sprinkle of red pepper and there is complaining.

I always envy the Americans. You have much more varieties of seeds and plants to choose from - and are often with lower prices.

I order seeds from the USA . As long as they offer international postage it's no problem. Takes about 7 days :blue thumb:

You might like to try 'vegetable chillies', more like sweet peppers with a light chilli flavour than the usual hot chillies. They can be eaten in salads or even stuffed/eaten whole. Veg-type chillies
                            Vegetable-type chillies

My favourite is Draky Chilli seed var. Draky

My little chili dears are ready for picking.. they are the 'not very hot' kind and so I consoled myself with an entire bag of spiced chili bark this afternoon as I sat and soaked up some sun :snorky:

Those chillies look like the Tabasco family so should be fairly hot. Of course, there are so many varieties nowadays that they could be anything. :)

Are you feeding the plant? Tomato feed is good enough. :dbgrtmb:
