it is not, and you know it isn't

But if you want to kill yourself, friends, relatives, people you don't yet know, its not my problem.

I did, because I was in it 9 months ago, and besides, the norm for this forum seems to be "it doesn't matter how old a thread is, have your say"

If you bury it you shouldn`t have to do the same job twice.. unless someone digs it up

Ah - there may be an answer to that.

It depends on what you mean by "sign-off the job". If you mean "prepared to falsely claim on an EIC and on the notification to your LABC that they did the work", then the answer is "because they have shown themselves to be petty criminals, willing to commit fraud in return for a few quid, so it's no surprise that they don't give a damn about the regulations".

From a personal point of view, I see no issue with attaching an armoured cable to my fence. I'm happy that I'll sleep at night in the confidence that I know the cable is in my opinion safe.

What I'm looking for is proof that it is illegal and by being attached to my fence, the electrician is without any doubt breaking the law. Can somebody quote me the regulation as documented? I've seen "temporary structure" mentioned on this thread but what is the legal definition of a temporary structure?

    Thanks, Nick

I completley disagree - I'm not trying to 'have my say' - I have a question and I thought it would be better to tag it onto an existing thread rather than starting a new thread.
