We love bats!! I saw my first one this year at the weekend too Mum. I've only ever seen two at once round here. One flew into the house a few years ago, did a couple of loops round then flew out again. I love to watch them every evening - they're like spitfires! I might try the tennis ball trick Loli, although I am a notoriously hopeless thrower - the snails I usually lob into the woods behind our house often end up on our roof!

Up the other end of the Village where I live , every night , at the right time of year, you can see them doing their acrobats. Strangely enough I could sit at my bedroom window and watch/listen . Mine is a childish fear ( getting stuck in my hair). This isn't helped by the fact I do have Fuzzy / afro hair . My mum used to say ' No ! you can't go out and play tonight, the bats will fly into your hair:' :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Bats do seem to get a bad press. I wonder where this myth of them getting stuck in someones hair comes from? I've never heard of this actually happening. :dunno::biggrin:

I loved sitting outside on a balmy summer evening watching "our" bats, when we lived in Eire, also we had loads of swallow nests in the out buildings, had to leave the doors open for them, so they could swoop in and out feeding the babies.

Lolimac maybe a 'Mothball' would work better than a 'tennis ball'.
