The Blight didn't get all of them

    I did plant King Eds, but not where I found these, I had about 6 different ones on the go but I can't remember the names:doh: All the tops got blighted.

      Sorry for the confusion - yes, they are wood pigeons and not woodpeckers. Wee bit of a novelty for us, as the only pigeons we saw before moving round this way was the 'townies' - - these wood pigeons seem positively huge by comparison.

      Something really nice about sitting looking out the French doors and watching the fat pigeons eating the scraps we put out for them; then there is the odd squirrel that pops in and bobs across the grass - we even get parakeets from time to time

        Where I lived before, FC, parakeets were commonplace. I recall mentioning parakeets in our local park to someone and they gaffawed saying: "Yeah? You got Llama's too?"
