This is the Knife Angel in my local Rochester Cathedral Gardens and when I stood by it this morning it was most impressive. The 27ft (8m) Knife Angel sculpture is made from 100,000 blades handed into police across the country.Artist Alfie Bradley, who created the sculpture at the British Ironworks Centre, said it was a "monument against violence and aggression"

@wiseowl I saw the Knife Angel when it was on display in the town and it really is quite a sight, although it unnerved me the thought of all those knives in our midst.

@Sheal they look so serene. I think I need bovine moments like that as well, from time to time.

The meadow is soft looking too. :)

Don't let that look of sereneness fool you @CanadianLori. They're quiet when they're grazing. They are very good escapologists and some are able to open the field gates that even I struggle with.:biggrin:

They were only released into the field a few days ago. It's been standing fallow for over a year because of a dispute over a boundary fence. As you can see it's very overgrown but it won't take long for them to strip it. There's probably two to three dozen cows in there with their calves.
