You're probably right @shiney. I like salad but that little bowl was mostly onion and rocket - I don't eat either. :frown:

I'm not keen on salad but do like onions. I like the onion salad that you get in the Indian restaurant - chopped mild onion (sometimes soaked in water for 15 minutes to take some of the strength out and then drained) with coriander (some may use mint), a little chopped tomato and lemon juice.

All looks lovely @Sheal....the location and the food!!

I love a mixed salad and we each have a big bowl of it everyday, even in winter. :)

Stunning place Sheal, my sort of place. Incredible food and well presented. T'other Half has those type hamburgers every Friday but not to my liking ...and not so poshly served. How far is this paradise from you?

Sounds good @shiney but ordinary onions upset my stomach although I can eat spring onions.

Thanks @Upsydaisy and @Victoria. It's 65 miles and a two hour drive away - not far from the Isle of Skye.

Beautiful scenery @Sheal, here's some from down South.
Stourhead, met the family there as it is Half Term.

That's very beautiful. I'm sure it was one of the locations where the old Miss Marple programs were filmed, the ones with Joan Hickson in them.

Autumn colours were not as good as some years, maybe the summer drought affected some trees. We would never normally go during Half Term but as our son is a teacher we had to.
There was a free NT property entry offer for a few weeks which my son took advantage of and as we are NT members it was free. Ufortunately a thousand or so others did too.!
