Lovely photos trunky. All my family live in edmonton Canada, it is a special beautiful place. Will have to dig some of the pictures from when I went snowmobiling in the back country in BC.

 

On first glance i thought headless bird...but yes definatley a moose

 

A lovely moose Shiney. Female I think, doesn't want to get her antlers wet,

 

If you had found it today it would have been a Raindeer!

Shiney, if I'd known you were going to the Lake District I would have recommended a book by someone I know.

Hi all.. I often take my camera out for a walk (totally unprofessional and just cause I have fun with it ! ! ) and sometimes I actually do come home with an image I like

I don't now these kids, they just happened to pass by on their way down to the beach and this is true summer feeling to me

Just back from a short walking holiday in the North Wessex Downs around Hungerford in Berkshire.
A few photos from my rambles among the gently rolling hills and wide open spaces.

Nature is slowly reclaiming this old abandoned wind pump and building.

A wind blasted hawthorn growing on a high ridge still manges to produce a crop of berries.



Sheep grazing in a field with the rolling hills as a backdrop.



A threatening sky promises a soaking on a showery afternoon....



....after the shower has passed over, I spot a rainbow across the hills in the distance.
