Thanks, Trunky, I did try to capture how it was, but I messed up a "couple" of times with composition, i.e: the 5th pic is on a slant, I'm going back when the light is better to have another crack at that area. I'm trying to stay on manual while checking that my calculations aren't too far away from the Camera's.:heehee:

Lovely pictures Armandii, you did better finding the colour than I did with my last shots. :)

I'm still trying to find the magical mix of colour, Sheal, the one that stops you in your tracks and you know is the one!!:snork:

I know the feeling! I know exactly where that magical mix is here on the island, but the question is.......do I want to get run down in the process of taking it.

Yes, standing in the midst of traffic is not a good idea when taking a pic, Sheal:heehee: I have been driving along and seen something I wanted to take a shot of only to be in fast moving traffic with no where to stop, or it's been in a spot where you know you're going to become a mascot on someone car bonnet. The thing is that some of the places where I would have expected to find good colour have trees with still green leaves. I was hoping Delamere Forest would have had some colour but a lot of it is being farmed so there's a lot of newly planted deciduous trees and a lot of Pine trees. I guess I'll have to drive a bit further!!

Yesterday's sunset, looking across the Brett valley near Hadleigh.
A cold, clear afternoon with no wind, and as the temperature dropped, mist began to form in the river valley, creating an eerily beautiful scene.

Nicely caught, Trunky. The mist, ground and the sky are nicely balanced, with the pale sunset being just right. I think a reddish sunset wouldn't have looked as stunning.:snork:

Great shots Trunky, the mist gives the landscape an air of eeriness. :)

With the weather being fine and bright today I took a saunter around the local countryside.

Fantastic photos Armandii they would make great postcards - when I'm away I can never find a decent postcard to send to the family.
