Some great shots there Armandii. :blue thumb: Love the pattern made by the frost on the leaf in the first photo, Viburnum if I'm not mistaken? Also the rose shots, there's something rather incongruous about a rose covered in frost isn't there?

I did the same thing yesterday morning. After freezing fog and frost overnight, arrived at work yesterday morning to find everything coated in ice, producing the most wonderful effects. Took as many photos as possible, until my fingers began to lose all feeling!

It was worth the pain though, to get shots like these. :)

Thanks Lol and Sheal. It really was a lovely sight to see everything covered in a coating of rime as the sun came up.
Luckily the fog had cleared overnight to leave a clear morning, so I was able to get some good photos.
Interesting to see how the coating of ice was on one side only, as on the hogweed stalks in the last photo.

Hi Sheal, Pic 4 is of the moss on the old Bird Bath and it took my eye being so delicate.

Hi Trunky, those are really great shots of the frost on the trees and leaves, well done that man!! I was contemplating stopping this morning to take some shots of the frosted fields and trees on the way into Manchester but the A56 is not a good road on which to park up when there's heavy traffic and lots of ice on the road!!!
Yes, it is a bit incongruous to see Roses covered in frost. The red one was "Trumpeter" which along with the other one (Regensberg] which is supposed to be pink and white but in this weather can only manage mostly white!! And you're right it is a Viburnum leaf under the frost.:snork:
