Every Christmas I go to the Church at Baslow in Derbyshire to take a Christmas Wreath for my Dad's grave which lies on the bank of the river. I was going to go tomorrow but the weather warnings have been so bad I decided to go on Friday. It was a bit murky driving over the "tops" with visibility down to around 25 yards at times. But on driving down into the lower country it got better.



This is the Bridge at Stratford on Water earlier this Summer


This is the bridge as I passed through on my way to Baslow with the water going from your right to your left.








And when I got to the Church at Baslow which lies by the River this is how it was looking upstream..




And there's more rain to come.

 

I'm thinking that if it rains even more, as they say it will, Stratford on Water will be renamed Stratford under Water.
