Well it's just been on our local news...... The woman involveds family don't believe her and she uses four different identities and passports. Now the Camelot/Lottery fraud prevention unit are starting an investigation.

Maybe she has multiple personality disorder? :th scifD36:

Saw a really good film about that once: "Sybil" with Sally Field playing the lead role(s).

I'm sorry " M ", but I just don't see what's funny about fraud. I hope personally that she serves a prison sentence.

We don't know for a fact that she has committed any fraud. Do we? :dunno:

Well I would imagine having four identities/passports is fraud in itself isn't it ?

That would depend on whether it is true or not.
One thing is for certain though, if she is telling the truth about the ticket ... I doubt those family members who were on the news will be getting a share.
And, if the investigation reveals that the family claims are true, I'll still think it is funny because her greed will be her potential undoing and she will get her just desserts: oh the irony! ;)

And we'd better build a new prison for all those "hundreds" of people who are also trying to gain financial advantage by claiming they had the winning ticket too

If the lottery was in fact just that, a lottery I would definitely say any one making a false claim should be prosecuted, but it aint, its fixed.

They know how many winners there are going to be before even the numbers are picked.

Why else would they need such an expensive piece of kit to pick out the balls?

Its been fixed from day one to only produce the amount of winners they want, in order to make big winners rather than many smaller winners.
Anyone still remember the time they said it went wrong and they had to pay out large amounts of small winners? Long time ago, but from that day I stopped buying into the fiddle.

                  Sorry Pete,

If they know how many winners there are going to be that makes them mind -readers doesn't it ?
                  For
example if I had a go tomorrow how would they know what numbers I'd picked before I did ?

Just got to wait now and see what happens to the washing machine woman, as it's been confirmed that it wasn't her.
