    I am not really that old, but my first dental drilling/filling he used a treadle drill
    ie:- foot powered like the old Singer sewing machine

    I do not take injections, as I find them worse than the work being done, so I just
    "try" to blank it, mind over matter
    At least you can have a couple of pussers without dribbling them down your shirt
