    Dinner today was the best.
Those potatoes where by far the best I have tasted for many a year.

Lovely- my potatoes are still marble sized, but tomatoes are coming on nicely. Something large is eating the peas [apart from me]. Maybe a squirrel or pigeon? Whole and half pods at a time!
I have got carrots at last but they're still very little like Capney's picture! They have been growing since march- what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks Freddy.
A descent home grown Sunday dinner.
Tis what we strive for after all the blood sweat and tears we put into our gardens. Makes it all worth while.
Ive learnt quite a lot during this first season with my small plot.
Much of that from you guys on this site.
I visited the new Boundary mill in Colne today and came away with a 512 page book "Organic Kitchen and Garden" for just £4:99
It looks like some interesting bed time reading.
No time to get into the garden today, so a double shift required tomorrow.
Note to boys: If you ever take a lady friend to Colne Boundary Mill be prepared for a long haul and plenty of cash. There is more feminine garments there then you can shake a pointed stick at. I kid you not..
We were there about four hours !
and with that its goodnight from me...
    Good nite everyone.
