Freddy I'm sorry to hear about Bunty. They take a part of us with them when they leave us but the memories we hold on too.

Thanks all, appreciated. We’d had her from a pup, she was 15, so a good innings I suppose. She had quite quite a few problems, so it wasn’t entirely unexpected. The wife took her to the vet for her regular check-up, I had this feeling I wouldn’t see her again. 15 years is a long time, considering all that’s happened in that time, she was a ‘constant’. Always glad (manic) to see me when I got up and when I arrived back home, such a lovely temperament. I still miss our ‘Dexter’ who died suddenly nearly five years ago, so this will no doubt be the same.

              Sorry Freddie....hard to handle isn’t it? :)
I lost my golden lab a couple of years ago and still miss him.
15 years with Bunty so you have lots of wonderful memories with her :)

It's been 2 years today that Bracken died.
He was 13 and had leukemia, was having treatment but it mutated and couldn't get it under control.

Can't quite believe it, not one but two of my beloved pets have passed this week.

I've cried and cried over the loss of my lovely ginger boi, Simba.. an absolute freak accident happened when I left him out the other night, fence panels had fallen on top of him in the wind. I'll never forgive myself for going to bed early thinking he was in. Devastated doesn't come close :(

He was the most affectionate cat I have ever had the pleasure of being a slave to! He had the most terrible meow and a double jointed tail that lay flat over his back, he would stretch his legs like as if he was getting ready to do gymnastics! He would lay upon my chest snuggling into my neck and even prod my belly as if I was his mammy cat.

I'm going to miss you pawing the window to come in, I'm going to miss that terrible screech for food, I'll even miss your hair getting up my nose when I stroke you! You were a bloody nuisance but I really did love you and I'm so glad you chose me as your owner, I'll miss you boyo xx

And my Jackson Storm.. although, not my preferred name choice for you, you did run wild like a storm when you heard those mealworms shake! How you dived into the porch to gobble up the left over cat food! Just over a year ago I rescued you, I hope I gave you a lovely retirement. I'm sorry we didn't get to spend as much time together as I had hoped but thank you for those lovely (expensive) eggs you gave me! Flap those wings and strutt your stuff over that bridge sassy girl xx
