Thanks everyone, came back to an empty house this afternoon and felt strange with no greeting.

@Victoria, that takes me back! our old house in Weymouth. Thanks for the memory, I don't even know if I have that photo now.

Ours is quiet even with one gone, it is still hard as we all know with long term pets.

I still have my two cats, but I know I will be devastated should I lose one. Losing the dog we had in 2000 was awful for both my Wife and myself. Sorry to hear about Millie, Strongy.:love30:

IMG_0349.JPG We had to take Davina to the vets this tea time as she hasn't been herself since we picked her up from the cattery on Monday after our weeks holiday.

Since getting her home she hasn't hardly eaten anything and has spent all day and night lying either on the lounge carpet or flat out on the cool kitchen floor tiles which was most unusual for her and although she was purring all the time she was just lethargic:sad:

Anyway, the vet examined her and said her liver was enlarged and the back of her mouth was yellow suggesting Jaundice and the liver was enlarged suggesting possible Pancreatitis.Davina had also lost 1lb in weight. The vet suggested admitting her so that she could go on a drip to get some fluids inside her and I signed the consent form and he said he would ring us tomorrow with the blood test results.

We had a phone call around twenty minutes ago from the vet to say that Davina had been put on a drip and they had also done an ultrasound scan on her liver where multiple abnormal growths were seen which suggested she had liver cancer which had been going on for quiet some time.Davina also had very low glucose levels and was also Anaemic (sp) so the prognosis didn't look very good and the vet said with steroids being administered she would only have a couple more weeks before we had the same decision to make so after a tearful discussion between myself and Mr Kandy we decided to let her go so Mr Kandy rang back the vet to tell him to go ahead and let her go...RIP Davina and Thanks for wheedling your way into our lives and our hearts...:cry3:

The worst part is also today is the 1st anniversary of Mr Kandys dad passing away:sad:
