I need to get some weight back off again so I'd like to join in (as soon as I get some scales!)- if that's ok? I went to the Boots site recommended somewhere in this thread, and have signed up there too, so thanks to whoever recommended it.
Well done to all of you who are doing so well!
Waco - sorry to hear you had a difficult week for keeping up the good work. Would it help to post up the times when it's going to be hard for you to eat healthily, and see if anyone can give some suggestions?
One last thing - I'm thinking of keeping a food diary as a strategy to help me succeed, have any of you done this and if so, did it help? Or any other top tips? :D

I keep a Journal as part of my Whale Watchers plan (ahem)
It's very helpful in that it ensures that I don't eat any more than I should, and helps me to plan what I'm going to eat in the evening, by not overeating during the day.
    Works for me, anyway!

Hi, Claire - please do join us - you and Lynne can keep on inspiring us jaded ones....... looks like some of us could do with it, me included!

I think the idea of the diary is the most useful one, but what helped me most in my WW days was the knowledge that there was a public weigh-in once a week - and pride wouldn't let me put on anything...... that was my useful prod! :D

    Humph.
I got some scales yesterday and weighed myself this morning.
    I weigh 12 stone 8.
This is not good, I'm only 5' 5"! Definitely time to lose some and this time, I'm not putting it back on! Actually, it wasn't too much of a shock, as I was about that last time i weighed myself. Still, being reminded is a good incentive to do something about it. I got a diary to use as a food diary too, so hopefully that will help as well.
Mef750, if you can find out how to perform a weight transplant, you're welcome to some of mine!

Claire - I have a real, honest to goodness, issue with my weight. So much so that it took me a long time and a lot of support from the Asst. Est. Mgr before I could look at the scales.
I'm attending Whale Watchers weekly, and even there I couldn't bear to have my weaknesses staring me in the face, so never knew what my weight was, just whether I had gained or lost.
I've lost two stones now; I have another four at least, possibly five, to go :(
    Ho hum!
Good that you've made the first step though! I can thoroughly recommend WW; they do know what they're doing!
    Best wishes
    lynne

Been reading these threads and i think its time i joined you.

I'm not bigbig, but i want rid of some flab.

I'm currently 10 stone but only 5'2", i have a waist but thats because my Columbian blood gave me big hips and big boobs so its not a real waist!

    I'm thinking a target of 9 stone?

Lucky you, Whiley! When you have to declare to the world every Monday morning, it does give you some incentive ... I'm just at a plateau at the moment but I'll get there in the end.

Look forward to seeing your results on Mondays!
