    Hi Catztail I wouldn't say I have a plant that stands out as an absolute least favourite, but I guess common shrubs like kerria, and forsythia are on a list of that I would never buy. I don't really bother with common traditional bedding anynore either, it's bright and cheerful I know but I prefer more unusual stuff. I love going through Chiltern's seed catalogue every January and picking out seed that I've never heard of but the descriptions sound good :thumb:

    Sorry for the late reply; I wouldn't say that I have one particular plant that is a favourite but I do like some some of the more unusual shrubs and trees that I have grown from seed like Cladrastis sinensis, Acer pensylvanicum 'Erythrocladum', I also like Sorbus Hillings Spire and Cornus Kousa. Another favourite may seem plain but I do like the Portuguese Laurel; allowed to grow as an unpruned shrub. There are many many more to mention but these are a few that get my vote :thumb:

    Ziggy is a rare plant........Latin name Ziggyum Naughtium. :heehee:

    A rare seaside plant only found in the South West, difficult to propagate, but easy to cultivate. Likes to grow amongst similar cultivars eg. Ziggyum Humerous and Ziggyum Moderatum. :heehee:

    Only joking Zigs! ........Now I wait for the backlash! :loll:

      :tomato::tomato::tomato:

      A tenacious plant, masquerading as an annual but subsequently proving to be a perenial. Will force its way through cracks in paving and can be a real problem when you are least expecting it.

      Will not tolerate dull conditions. Plant in fully exposed & dangerous situations.

      Can take most of what life has to throw at it, benefits from a good pruning in the spring.

      Needs a good feed of 30% + abv nightly.

      Will benefit from more than one duvet in its caravan in the winter:dbgrtmb:

      Do NOT try to propagate this one from offsets in the autumn as that only makes it cross.
