digital media is convenient but it has no romance. i like romance. analogue is romance. its a bit like comparing a remote control all singing, all dancing high end leccy or gas fire against a roaring open fireplace. one is cold and uninteresting, the other is warm and inviting in my opinion anyway.

I tend to agree I can't make my mind up about Waters. On the one hand, he created some truly great music, on the other hand, he was a pain in the 'tree':WINK1: Anyway, here's another great tune, check out the chord progression by Wright....delicious....
superb choon!! i agree, waters is an acquired taste, but has wrote some fab lyrics and music.some say that as soon as Syd went, so did the sound of pink floyd. i must admit, i prefer pink floyds music after he left/didn't turn up.
Don't get me wrong, most 'decent' stuff is pretty unknown to the 'general' listener, I understand that It's just that I've been out of the 'market' for a LONG time
that sounded/came across really snobby, wasn't meant it to be. what i meant is that they're makes/names that unless you were (majorly) into hifi, you wouldn't have heard of them.
Yep, nice kit there I guess it all depends on what sound quality you're after. To my mind, if one has plenty of money, and sound quality is of great importance, analogue can't be beaten. The real problem is getting hold of vinyl. Most second hand stuff will probably be spoiled in some way. These days, digital is so much more convenient, and reliable....sad, but true...
