As they germinate I pop them into cells with the husk containing the embryonic leaves visible (as in level with the top of the soil). It seems to work 99% of the time.

      Update time
1] Aristolochia clematatis - one germinated so far
2] Caesalpinia pulcherrima - I screwed up. The mix was too wet and they rotted. I'll sow the rest late spring.
3] Campanula makaschvilii - slow to germinate, just three so far.
4] Chillis - kept five plants and gave the rest away.
5] Christmas cactus - just twenty odd babies so far!!! They germinated in days.
6] Cobea scandens - zilch! Seed was five years out of date though..........
7] Datura wrightii - kept three and gave the rest away on Freegle.
8] Echium candicans - six germinated so far.
9] Lisianthus nigrescens - they germinate and die! Got two small plants still alive though.
10] Moraea huttonii - they started germinating last week. Just the two so far.
11] Tricyrtis hirta - still waiting..............
12] Thysanotus multiflorus - first one emerged today!

      Also germinated so far;
      Salvias apiana and dolichantha
Albucas humilis and shawii (about 70 in total)
      Pomegranate
      Strelitzia juncea
      Various Canna (thanks Joolz!)
      Clianthus puniceous (thanks Sal!)
      Rattle box tree
      Unknown Tanzanian tree!
      Rhodochiton
      Kennedia nigricans
      Lathyrus sativus azureus
      Stapelia gigantea
      Codonopsis clematida

I need to slow down a bit!!!!

After such a poor start in my cold greenhouse, I have started again with more seed sowing.
