:D;) if i have inspired any person with this thread i will carry on

i dont like to spend money . the car fetured above has only cost me less than £100 squids. it took a lot of work but little money.

perhaps thats why i like gardening , you put the work in and get results
cheap as chips . yup im growing tattys

I have to agree with you there Colin much more fun and not to mention easier on the old purse strings if you can do things on the cheap and still get an awful lot of satisfaction from your hobby and I'm sure we all know by now you are indeed a very fast worker!:D Hel.xxx.

    today's update
last week my rotovator let go big style. the con rod shattered and blow apart it's big end. managed to find a briggs engine (for free of course) took the donated engine apart so i could use the con rod,:( only to find that the con rod on the donated engine had a ruduced size jurnal. ha ho never mind so i drilled and sanded for hours to get the big end to as near as i could by hand tools only . wazzed it all back together . and wolla the little babby is back to life . knocks a bit but YERRRR it runs :D:D

Paul that has a lotty next to mine knew of somone that had a sim rotovator to mine and is needing to sell it . (apparently in bits but it's all there ) for just £20 yup i said ile have that
yesterday (sunday) i didnt have £20 so my son Dean offered to lend me £20, after seing to tool Dean wonts it for himself, ****** lost out on that on for spare parts for mine , but ha ho how cool is that Dean has his own rotovator (but guess who's got the job of putting it back together

also today Paul took me up his other allotment up in Uxbridge. the site is absolutly full. but the lotts are small . i could most prob fit 4 of there plotts on my lotty . but there doing realy well . strawberrys bigger than golf balls. black currents that are so sweet and strong you name they were growing it. and wot wos best the freindlyness of the peeps was amazzing . i came away sprorting a very large rubbarb crown, wich i prommtly swiffted on to my lottly chopped in in half and chucked it in (picky to follow)

so all in all a very bisy weekend and a happy monday :thumb::thumb:

Lol Colin I know what you mean about the friendliness of allotmenteers most of the guys down at our lot seem to want to feed me up or could that be shut me up?:D

Anyway it's rare when the guys are about that I come away from the lottie without any fruit or veg!

I think you got Lolled by your son with that rotovator with Dean sneaking in with his £20 quid.... better luck next time Colin although it is really very nice that Dean has taken such a great interest in growing stuff.

I dare bet in no time at all Dean will have his own allotment and both you and he will have a competition going to see who's methods work better or who can grow the biggest veg! Good luck to you both.Hel.xxx.

thank you MARLEY . now im starting to feel like a real Allotment holder. all the problems are unfolding. sorry if i have been a pregnant fish in the past (and i most prob will be in the future hay ho it's all fun, sticks and stones will breack my bones but names will neaver hurt me) today's saying is ,qwertyuiop, hit the keys hard you aint hittng me:p

    some updates
the mares tail, well it seems like it may not have been me that introduced the mares to the allotment, but im not rulling every little helps out YET. im still finding mares root in the compost that i have put in. Today i had a propper look around the allotment and i do mean a propper look, rather than just a look around that i have done before, a real good lookski. ive found some mares in two plotts about 50+ yards away from mine .

now i think maybe ive found the source (if you was a weed you would search out rich ground)the devil weed has sniffed me out and is trying to take over.
so im going plan 2. two of my cousin are diabeticks full blown insuline injection.
i can have as many fine needles as i need. im not going to use the weed killer as instucted im going to INJECT IT
    maaawwhhhaaawwwwwwwwwww
