Did anyone see Mock The Week last night on BBC and all the tastless jokes about the plight of these poor men. I was horrified but only saw a little bit of it made no notes or I would complain to the BBC. I hope they get lots of complaints.

I see they are beginning to bring those poor men to the surface from midnight tonight - or dawn tomorrow.
I wish them so well. There are times when I just wish I believed in the power of prayer.
All I can send is my very best wishes and positive thoughts for their safe deliverance.
    What an ordeal for them.

I feel more sorry for what they will have to endure when they are back up in the open, with the world's media focused on them. But yes, what an ordeal they have to go through first.

    I wish them luck

If it was me, I'd go through anything to get out of there, but it wont be easy for them.

I have just been catching up on the rescue mission in Chile and it has brought tears to my eyes in watching those first three men brought up to the surface, quite humbling in fact:yez:The tube is only 22 inches wide and it must be an horrendous time being wedged in it but thankfully they are all made of much stronger stuff than me and will cope:D

I won't be able to sigh with relief until the very last one has come through this safely, although I do hope that they won't ever have to go back down there again:)

I'm gobsmacked how fit and healthy these guys look. I just hope this next guy's OK. He's the one who's had the worst psychological problems by all accounts.

    Amazing effort all round!

There are seven of them rescued now. I keep flicking back to the Beeb website to get the latest news...even though I'm supposed to be working!

The last guy to come up (14) wasn't even a miner, he only went down to fix a vehicle! The 15th Miner is coming up now :gnthb:

An extraordinary achievement by the Chilean engineers and others - to be able to find the miners in the first place and then organise a rescue such as we have seen today without any great fuss is amazing.

Good luck to all those involved in the rescue and to those who are being rescued, I hope they never have to experience such a problem again although I guess there are not so many other jobs available to people in these areas.
