        I was brought up within the sound of St Lawrences church bells, chimed every quarter hour.
        When I was a child there was a row of terrace houses facing the church yard, which was eventually demolished and a row of semis built in place. The people who bought them started complaining about the bells, and the bell ringers practicing ringing peals etc.
        Why buy a house next to a bell tower if you cannot live with the sounds.:dunno::doh:

          That's the bf's ma. (She's on the Cava.) I'm the little one in a grey top.

          We do know some other tunes, they all sound pretty much the same, though it doesn't do to say that in bellringing circles!
