    I don't sow them until well into April either. No greenhouse, they get tall very quickly and definitely sulk if they get cold. Last year I had a lot of self-sown ones from the variety "Grandpa Ott" (that I'd grown in a couple of hanging baskets the previous year) which didn't germinate until probably mid to late May and still flowered in August/September.

      Yes but you need to make a wigwam with them and then twine some string between them so that the glories can cling onto them as they climb.
