I have put some up tonight....

Got a lovely one of my shepherd chilling out after a long day of inspecting works, she's laying out with her head resting on a railway sleeper!

Been out this morning, I brought myself a nice little bosh electric screw driver, as I need to strap the internal of the main bed... And hubby brought himself a cheap angle grinder to cut the paving blocks if needs be... So he's got a new toy as well...

And we've even managed to get the edging board insitu on the other boarder...

At the moment I'm eyeing up the sand and paving blocks pondering have I've ordered enough in! Time will tell

Sorry about the delay in getting photo's up, just been shattered and last night out for a meal with my son as it was his birthday. But here we go

Taking a break from the hard work
        PICT0065 (640x480).jpg

And inspection work is hard going, so a quick nap

Thursday night Sand bed in and being inspected..

        PICT0077 (640x480).jpg

Mind you saying that, tamping down the sand bed Thursday night wasn't the wises idea we had, as the dogs found it a lovely surface to play fight on... So had to be redone Friday morning...

But garden looking like we're getting somewhere now

During most of the work, Jones our other dog has really stayed inside out the way, as he really struggles with 'change' both our dogs are rescue, but sadly Jones start in live was horrendous to say the least, which left the poor lad, frightened of people an very frightened on the world... He's needed special TLC to help him through..

Friday the skip is finally picked up, I took a quick piccy before it went....

          PICT0055 (640x480).jpg

Looking back at my first picture, you'd never guess there was that much rubble under my lawn! And the patio area that was there, still remains!

Today, hubby starts laying the paving blocks, under full supervision of both dogs, Jones can no longer resist coming to check on progress..

          PICT0087 (640x480).jpg

Oh, Daughter who's in the picture, she's 6 months pregnant, hence the size lol...

Hubby finished early today, tired and we had to get ready for my son's birthday meal...

But I think somebody's proud of all the hard work

I'm amazed at how much you've achieved after finding all that gubbins underneath, it'll be fab once it's done.
Love your dogs - mine are all rescue too :wub2:

              Almost there....

We had hope to have finished the paving block laying yesterday, but alas not quite enough sand so off to get some more, I decided to go to B&Q, and not Wickes (where most of our material came from) so wished we hadn't, sand was more expensive and when we brought it home it was so wet that the bag actually didn't go anywhere near as far as the Wickes bag... So ran again of Sand so a visit to wickes this morning before we could get started again..

But finally hubby has got to play with his new toy that he's had since Friday.... The angle grinder and for a cheapo costing £28 with two diamond cutting blade, it's really doing well for itself.... But alas it's spitting with rain so a temporary stop of play...

I'm hoping that he be able to finish tonight, so Tomorrow I can fill the raised bed, I've kept some top soil from the garden, with the intention of adding compost and manure to this...

Can't wait to start planting, I've been potting on some of my plants, and waiting to replant up my containers and baskets, but have held off until we've finished...

What an amazing transformation! I struggle to imagine a garden with no grass but it actually looks very smart! Mad to think of whats buried in all of our gardens!
