I've not been bothering with mine for a few days, but when I read:

Knowing my last estimate was just under 80lbs (not that I'm competitive) I rushed to my plot, culled all smaller/second pumpkins and put 6 gallons feed on each of 2 plants (3rd plant 'C' has stalled and got mildew).

My biggest, on Plant A is estimated at 88.5lbs and is growing at 3lbs/day, removing the second pumpkin from Plant B should help increase it's current rate of growth of 2.5lbs/day. The one I removed was estimated at 37.8lbs using OTT charts and actually weighed 38.6lbs.

My pumpkin of 88.5lbs growing at 3lbs/day would be overtaken in 8 days by one of 78lbs growing at an average of 4.5lbs/day.

I would not worry mate that's saying mine keeps on growing at the same rate and yours dose too also I have not really been watering it and I'm away for two weeks after next week so it won't be getting watered then so don't worry you probably will take the title this year lol

I'll be happy just to get something over 100lbs this year, to give to a friend's child for Halloween (daughter far too grown up now for the wild Halloween parties we had when she was young), my 3 marrows (from 23Kg to 28Kg) have stopped growing/been cut and no longer distracting me, so I don't want to waste time on a 100lbs Pumpkin that might divert me from getting my best Tomatoes over 3lbs this year.

Mines stopped growing, a bit disappointing as the weather has really warmed up this last week, it's 35lb by the OTT method:

Mine was about the size of a basketball last time that I looked. Unfortunately I have had to spend more time at home this last few weeks so I have not been near the plot for quite a while. Nipping down for an hour shortly.

Well here is my effort for this year, from my final plant of three.

This one got to football size, my camera lens cap is to give a sense of scale, you can clearly see that the stem is split. I've now dug out the plant and composted, cleared the bed and covered for winter. When I picked up the fruit I just missed catching the slug as it disappeared back into the hole on the bottom of it.

Here are a couple of shots of the plant before I pulled it, you can see along the main vine how the plant is starting to die and defoliate.

This final plant covered more area than my previous plants have.

Looks like this year I will have to buy a pumpkin for the carving part of this challenge whilst I look forward to next years giant growing.

                Steve...:)

My plants have also been dying back fast, biggest stopped at under 90lbs, but 2nd biggest kept growing, some days 3lbs, others nothing, OTT estimate yesterday was 99lbs.

If Steve's got a Canon 1200mm super duper telephoto lens that pumpkin might be bigger than we think ....

My biggest, which is almost as high as it is wide, as it hasn't 'slumped'.

@Richard360 The leaves on your pumpkin plant still look very healthy, whilst on my 3 plants they now range from 60 to 100% dead, same with my eating pumpkins, marrows, courgettes and other squashes.
