Plants are almost dead so cut the 2 biggest Pumpkins today, 1st one was 88lbs and 2nd weighed 99lbs 8ozs, but weights were within 1lb of OTT estimates. Devil of a job getting them in the car, waiting until tomorrow before bothering to get them out.

I can not believe you was so close to your target weight mate just a few more days growth and you would of been there mate I'm off to have a look at my plant tonight see if it's still plodding along or if it's had it tonight so if it's had it I will be cutting it at the weekend a very disappointing year

I'm presently surprised I call to the allotment this weekend to find the plant is still looking healthy measured the pumpkin and it's still putting weight on although its forecast frost this week so that will kill off the plant but surprised with the weight it's still putting on image.jpeg image.png

I've just bottled a gallon of 2014 Pumpkin Wine ready for Halloween (sampling a glass at the moment), reckon you'll get enough flesh to make over 50 gallons from that Pumpkin.

I wouldn't worry about a light frost at this time of year, it may well kill of the leaves but the fruit won't come to any harm.
