Not far off but, no, not yet

I remove lowest leaves....always have done. I think it creates better air circulation and therefore better fruit.
When, in mid August usually, most fruit has formed I remove all leaves. Fruit then ripens more quickly I think

I start the first sowings in the conservatory in early January with grow lights. they are gradually potted up until they are in their final pots while still in conservatory and are moved into the greenhouse early may, at which time the plants are well over a metre high with four or five trusses on.
I sow subsequent seeds in February and march which follow the same process which gives me a crop from May until October or even later in a good year. I live on my own it is my hobby I grow for taste and always trial new varieties. I grow far more than I can use and give most away.
I particularly like the tasty small ones of which I eat loads. I was particularly lucky this year I received seeds of old style gardeners delight from JWK which have proved a great success.
