Yes, it looks like a good year for courgettes. I picked a dozen yesterday and expect to a similar amount today and tomorrow - which I will sell for the charity tomorrow afternoon. :blue thumb:

That's great @misterQ I was a bit later sowing them because of the weather and they always get too long to plant them out, so they can get damaged doing so.

I've now picked some runners and some Bridgwater beans - not really enough for a meal as I'm greedy!

Nice. I have not had a lot yet but harvested my first a few weeks ago. Good thing about courgettes is you can harvest them pretty much at any time. Baby courgettes on the BBQ are lovely.

Today I picked enough Bridgewater beans for a meal, 35lb of courgettes (three had become marrows in two days :rolleyespink:), 30 ripe chillies and 15lb of rhubarb. The courgettes and rhubarb were sold this afternoon for our charity. :blue thumb:

Had some good harvests the last few days. Dug up my desiree spuds and they're fab - big builders bucket load from about 8 seed potatoes...good for me as despite being from Lincolnshire my success at spud growing has been appalling!

Harvest a load of peas, shelled them, blanched them and frozen them.
Frozen numerous bowls full of raspberries.
Made a summerfruit pudding from a massive harvest of strawbs, blackcurrants and rasps - a little bit left in the freezer.
Harvested and blanched/frozen a load of french beans (black ones - no idea what theyre called).
Harvested all the garlic and onions.
Been harvesting a constant flow of green courgettes and doing various things with them including courgette and lemon cake (highly recommended!). I tried the yellow ones last year and I didn't like the taste of them.
Got a kilo of beetroot which I've just prepared the vinegar for so tomorrow I'll be boiling it ready for putting into jars.

I think that is about it in terms of veg! :phew:

Really enjoyed growing it all on the lotty. :spinning:

I've been harvesting garlic whenever I come across it. :rolleyespink: I didn't plant any last year but, over some years, I've been planting garlic in the flower beds in small groups in circles. They fill a space and help keep aphids away from susceptible plants.

The only problem is that I forget to harvest some of them before the tops have gone over and disappeared! So I occasionally come across clumps of garlic that may have been in the ground a couple of years or even longer. So I've been digging up clumps of the stuff! :heehee: In our garden it's quite easy to miss things like that.
