Oh, I know how that is  It just struck me...it’s not so much the ‘starting’ of ‘stuff’, but what to do with it between ‘starting’ and planting out. Heat, light, storage, always a problem, at least for me.

No, on a mission to not be struggling to have things ripe for the show this year.

Crashed and burned with Bedford Champion last year, which were useless as a show onion:doh:

Chosen Hercules and Centurion as they should be ready by showtime

I’ve been out of the veg ‘loop’ for a while, so relying on memory. I would probably have held off for a few more weeks. In any event, keep us posted

Grow them indoors, you'll get more than half a bucket.

                          Steve...:)

Yup they would, I grew some a few years back in the ground in my polytunnel, they did reasonably well. I was told thaat they had beautiful flowers so I grew a few in a pot too, to hopefully take back home from the plot and onto patio, they never got there...lol

They grew best in a pot, 3 or 4 tubers in a 10 inch pot x 2, got a lot from the pots (half bucket) and about half as much again from the border soil. My view, best in a pot.

                              Steve...:)

That could be my entry for #256 at the show as well then :ideaIPB:
