I had to bring my propagator back down to get my runner beans to germinate, because it's gone cold.:)

      Planted up the runner beans.
There's 2 plants to each cane and 8 canes to each container.
Crushed egg shells and 2 plastic milk containers to put the water so i don't disturb the egg shells.

Put fleece around and tied it under the rim. Folded the fleece over and pegged it with clothes pegs. It will stay like that until the beans reach the top.

Got enough plants to do another container, but got to repot 7 chilli plants before i know there's enough compost left.:)

Something ate most of my cauliflower and sprout and cucumber seedlings. Been putting mesh around everything.
Here is what's left of my sprouts, then my onions and lastly the zucchini. 1528370069792.jpg and my tomatoes

A.k.a. Chop Suey Greens, Chrysanthemum Greens, Chrysanthemum coronarium leaves.

              About half of the box.

              Some rhubarb picked.

(or another way of saying that the crowns needed tidying up after an infestation by black aphids.)

And, finally, a pound coin harvest.

Well, I found it as a wind fall under this Prunus cerasus 'Morello' tree.

                  Beetroot 'Boldor' seedlings.

                  Planted into the lower half.

Boltardy were transplanted into the upper half about 3 weeks ago.

Germination-wise, Boltardy was very reliable at about 90%.

Boldor was less at 52% - 50 clusters planted but only 26 seedlings appeared.

The chickweed can stay because I'm hoping that it will reduce powdery mildew infection by regulating the humidity changes that occur around mid August.

Its definitely a courgette @shiney. I bought two plants from the market - one green and one yellow courgette. I did leave it in longer than perhaps I shudda done :dunno: . We’re having a stir fry tomorrow though, so i’ve taken it off tonight :snorky:

@kazzawazza the reason I said it looks more like squash is because of the size and shape of the leaves and the fact that you appear to have it climbing a framework. I never seen any courgettes do that

The only style of courgette plant I've ever seen is similar to the photo that MisterQ has just put up. :noidea: I'd be interested in the name of the variety that you're growing. :blue thumb: :)
