It's just a angled butt joint and a plumb cut, no fancy bird mouth cuts as it's not really needed. That's being screwed together (I've run out of screws blast it!).
It's similar to how it was originally built and that lasted a lifetime so should be good

I've been off this for a week due to man flu but managed a few more hours today. Rafters are done and I've mortared in a damp course for the back windows (don't know why I didn't before). Front window frames taking shape also. It's beginning to look like a greenhouse!
Am deciding whether to coat it with a preservative on top of the treated timber

That's what I was thinking. Might use creosote (or modern equivalent) as it's a dark brown and I have it in the shed!

My usual response if it aint dangerous, (by mamby pamby modern standards), it probably wont work.
But anything not water based would be my preferred preservative, they penetrate better.

I've just seen the horrendous price of some wood preservatives :yikes:

I've used old cooking oil on fences and my cold frame, takes a few days to dry being the main problem.
It's very similar to boiled linseed oil.

                      Thank you!

Might get round to painting it today if it stays dry. Might also stick in a few ties with the offcuts I have laying around
