That's a lovely big staging surface. You must have looong arms to reach things on it without straining your back. :)

      It fills up quickly!

I should think about underneath the staging; at the moment it's soil and can be used for planting but obviously with everything above it there's no point to that. It's rapidly becoming a storage area for mpc and pots. Don't know if I should develop it somehow or just let it be

I also have to think about the entrance and what to do there.

Aaand I should shape or otherwise finish off t'other end, I'm thinking something like this and maybe the fancy top right option.

Totally agree with the fancy top right option.

When you go back to the beginning of this thread and see the condition of the greenhouse at the very start of the project, the progress you have made in bringing this lovely greenhouse back to life is outstanding, all of your efforts really are to be commended @Loofah

Hope that doesn't sound too gushy

If you create any one of the top row the other way up Andy, it's a hook for a hanging basket. :)

I think it needs a finial, maybe an acorn or pineapple if you can find one.

Gush away, it helps the motivation!

Good point although the cut side would then be facing the weather. Might wear out more quickly?

You I read that as 'unicorn' not acorn? My daughter would definitely like a unicorn!

I haven't touched the end pieces yet but today I managed to make a start on the ridge capping.
I've been dreading this bit. I've contacted plenty of roofing suppliers, sheet metal companies etc and no-one can or will supply me with a galvanised flashing cap. These (I need 3) are about 20 quid online but the delivery is about 200! Screw that.
And screw this too - I bought some 3m gravel board from a timber merchants and cut a slight angle to one edge then created a screwed butt joint. Nice and solid. The angle means it fits just right on the roof and the joint is covered by bitumen flashing tape.
The bit I was dreading is fixing it to the roof.
The ends are easy but I had to have a way of walking on the structure to reach up, pre drill a hole then screw the cap in place. I ended up screwing a block to the rafter and using it as a step. Sounds simple but looking down on plate glass while balancing on one foot makes you think of gushing severed arteries.
Anyway, figuring all this out means I only got the first bit done, but now I have the method the rest should be fine.

The configuration means I have a covered roof vent the full length of the greenhouse. I'm going to find out if this is a good idea or a rubbish one!

Rubbish idea in winter, if you want to heat it.

Not planning on heating it but will see. I'd have to fit the middle partition and bung up the ridge somehow. All feels too much work this year
