I've been enjoying reading through the thread, great that you have got it useable again

Sunken greenhouses are quite popular in places with a more severe climate than we have in the uk. It's so mild here they don't really make much sense, but if you can harness the cooling in the summer and heating in the winter from the ground it makes a lot,of sense in more continental climates.

 

It's looking good Andy. Apart from the things that are still to be done are you happy with the way it's come together?

 

It was a steep learning curve for you and yes, we can be critical of our own work, but I think you've made a great job of it and have earned a pat on the back.

Like taking on a new garden. I think it was a good idea to use this year for trial and error, and see how things go through this coming winter.

If you don't try it you won't know if it will work.

 

I think you have done an amazing job. We will always feel we could have done better, that is what drives us forward.

I would love to have that in my garden. Enjoy your hard work, I would.

It's so good to see that even today we have people who take a piece of wood and make it something useful or just something nice.

 

Just brings to mind someone I remember from work many years ago.
His name was Ivor Diprose.
But obviously he was renamed Ivor Bignose.

 

Just joking, but I did think that it wasn't the finished article.
