      I swear at my plants ('Grow, you [obscenity]!'), and that seems to work. But maybe I have rude ones and shiney grows nice polite ones!

        I think I'll stick to a couple of dustbins, a fair bit cheaper!

        I've heard you should swear when sowing Basil seeds as otherwise they won't grow :)
