    Well done @Michael Hewett :dbgrtmb:

I'm quite savvy with computers but not with smartphones. Well, what do people make children for?

Recently my confidence was however somewhat dampen down when I had a work laptop upgrade- always a nightmare. I relied on our excellent IT support to sort things out.

Then I went into a Teams call and my camera didn't turn on. Being me, I checked all menus, googled how to check if driver is installed, rebooted the laptop, googled some more, did adventurous things with the settings and finally messaged the IT support.

Quite calmly Calvin asked me to straighten my arm and feel the top of the laptop. Once I confirmed I could feel a small knob, he instructed me to gently move my finger to left.

Ta-dah, an old fashioned, mechanical camera lens cover had been discovered!

Calvin is sworn to lifelong silence about the incident. :heehee:

I've just walked around the block, only a bit less than half a mile, and it was painless, first time for 5 yrs at least.
7 weeks tomorrow since the final knee replacement.
Physio said I need not go see him again, only had two sessions and they were both mostly talking and suggesting exercises to try, but he couldn't find one I cant do.:roflol:

Walking in the cold, not so keen on the wet bit, how come it rains right up to getting to the front gate, then it stops again?

That reminds me of an old "Bernard" cartoon. Bernard is strong but bone-headed bear with a very short fuse, and so loses his temper extremely easily. No personal comparison intended! The second part of this: "A Day in the Country":

I bought one of those steem wall paper remover things ... got it this morning in Screwfix.
I managed to take the paper off the walls of two rooms this afternoon, it was easy with the steam thing :dbgrtmb:

They work well, I find, but watching one of those sad old programmes on TV yesterday where they do up an old house they were saying it was rubbish, they just didn't leave in in one place long enough.

You have to leave it until the paper is wet but it only takes about 10 - 15 seconds.

And you have to make sure you point it away from you when you take it off the wall, otherwise your glasses will steam up !

You get warm too with that steam and all the scraping. I had to wear a Tee shirt ... unknown for me in December.

I think they were stripping washable paper, but its just a matter of letting it do the job before scraping.

It's best to scrape the paper a bit first, so that the steam soaks in. Even I know that so the 'experts' should have known it.
