    Yay....☆☆☆☆
Our local waste disposal site is selling composted green waste at £12 for 5 bags.
Not seed sowing quality I'm sure but good for mulching / filling up places that have gone " bald " ....

I'm happy that it's drizzling as it has stopped me from carrying on pressure washing. :heehee:

I went to Home Bargains in a small near-by town and had a nice latte (in quite a large tall glass I might add) and a slice of chocolate gateaux (don't know if I've spelt that correctly !) and the total cost was £2.98 :dbgrtmb:
and it wasn't a mistake, it's always that price. That's why I go there so often
And service with a smile for no extra cost :love30:

Another thing that's made me happy - they've emptied my garden waste bin !!! :dbgrtmb: at long last !
They missed the last collection-day two weeks ago because they thought I hadn't paid.
I told them I'd paid and gave them the ref number.
Then the following day they still said I hadn't paid.
After two weeks of this nonsense going on I sent them a nasty email, and the result was that they emptied the bin today, of the rubbish they sould have collected two weeks ago, and also the stuff that should have been in it today, from bags I'd left by the bin, because there was no room inside it.
Now I can start to fill it ready for next time :love30:

That's a shame @Upsydaisy. This Home Bargains took over the old Co-op building and there was a cafe in there so they have it now.

I've put a Dandelion in there already so that's a start :heehee:

Finally took down the thick, lined winter curtains and put up the voiles. No more drawing curtains and opening/closing shutters every morning and night :yahoo: A sure sign that summer's on it's way :)

The church bells of our local church St Marys rang out at 10.00 am for the Coronation.
At 3.00 pm there will be a 5040 chime sequence that will take 3 hours to complete,
                    utter respect for our RINGERS.....

In a moment of madness I invested 90p into a frisbee and the careless Tesco home delivery picker gave us two.

Apparently my fabulous frisbee skills have somewhat waned in the 40 plus years since I last played. :noidea:

But a delightful hour or so in the light rain with The Child who seems to have been born with a one-hand catch skills. My two-hand pizza dough method worked well too.

After discovering that a potted Acnistus (thanks, @pete ) has snow white flowers, I dashed round the borders checking on the planted-out ones. It made me very happy to discover that they're all a vibrant blue :hapfeet:

I'm guessing its in the genes, as I would have collected the seed from a blue plant.

Yes but.....they are all from the seed that you kindly sent me! At least the white one is a nice, clean white. Not like that mucky thing that I grew and that I still haven't managed to kill off

You are months ahead of us, mine haven't hardly started to shoot yet, let alone flower.

It's becoming more and more 'mediterranean' here with each year that goes by. A massive flush of growth and colour between March and May, then most things go dormant once the heat strikes. I noticed yesterday the oriental poppies are flowering, cistus, buds on the oriental lilies....too much, too soon :)
