I can’t remember the last time I saw a swan @Selleri . Must be years ago now. They seem to have disappeared from here.

Was lucky enough to see four swans flying over the house the other day! A fantastic sight!

Swans always look graceful ... from a distance. There's a river near here that has them on it.

They are all here @Songbird

We have a lot of streams, rivers and ponds around here and Swans are very common. My bus goes between two artificial ponds (ex- mines) and sometimes the traffic stops for a while when a swan decides to cross the road very slowly. They must know they are protected. :)

In the field behind us there are some sheep. No idea the breed but most have horns and very small tails. Over 2 weeks ago 1 lamb was born. A deep brown/black colour (the ewes have white wool). No other lambs until yesterday and now there are 7. Saw the eldest encouraging the others to join in....they run up and down the field, then stop and jump up with all feet off the ground and then start running again. They really seem to be enjoying themselves and it does bring a smile to our faces. A delight to watch.

@Selleri , loved the mental image of swan stopping traffic- wonderful and how lovely to have lots of them about. If you have a-plenty , tell some of those swans to come and visit us here. :)
