This is really bugging me now!

    Thanks MF, :D :D I think on reflection that I would rather clear up the mess after them or do away with containers than go thro' that! :D

    Liz: I have just recently come back off holiday and didn't realise that we have hi-jacked your subject - may I apologise? ;)

    Hi Dag, I don't mind at all, this business of 'marking' has come up before and is always good for a giggle. The badgers haven't been at my containers either so I think it must work. As Hornbeam says, having badgers is great, but upsetting when your efforts are spoilt.
    We also have lots of grey squirrels and they do go for anything tasty in the pots- they rifle around for such delicacies as the lily bulbs so I have to keep them covered in winter.
    We have some near neighbours who resorted to electrical wiring all the way round their perimeter because of badgers raking up their lawns. It did work and there are plenty of other places for the badgers to go. It only seems to be this time of year for a short while that lawns are damaged.
