Well finished work this morning after a little goodbye ceremony in my department . Did one or two odd jobs in the garden , thinking I don't have to rush now . We walked down to the restaurant on the canal and had a lovely meal sat outside . Then back home to sit in the garden with a beer and a play with Molly . We are off to the Greek islands later this week... seems OK so far, after 12 hours , this retirement lark

You'll still need to have some sort of routine - but a leisurely one. :dbgrtmb: You're likely to get up at a similar time to 'normal' but won't have to rush to get out and about. Breakfast when you want, shower when you want - but don't get under her feet! :snork:

Many years ago, one of our neighbours retired and, after a few months, his wife said that he's driving her mad just sitting and getting in her way. She had got used to her routine at home and didn't want it disrupted too much. So she told him he had to get out of the house by 10 a.m., back for lunch and then out until 4 p.m. :rolleyespink:

He quickly got some hobbies. :snorky:
