    Hi

I ordered some Delphinium's from eBay last year. They were labelled as pacific giant plug plants. I have been feeding and caring for them, but the spikes are barely 30 cm tall!! Otherwise , the leaves look healthy.

Is there varieties of dwarf delphinium's? Is it common for giant delphiniums to struggle with height in the first year? It's the first time I've grown them.

The seller may have sold me the wrong product and perhaps lied about the variety.

    Ta

There are indeed dwarf varieties of delphiniums Shaneoak.
However, from plugs last year they may not be full size this year.
Can you provide a picture? It could help with identification :)

Okay. i thought they would reach at least 4 foot in the first year. I will get a pic-the flowers are not fully out yet though. :)

      Hi Verdun

I do't know how you upload pics onto here, however, the flowers came out in the end and were a lovely sky blue and dark purple, although, on 2 foot spikes. I'm not sure if i have been sold dwarf Delp's . Infact they might even be Larkspur. Not sure.
