    Only joking, next doors terrier was going ape at it, surprised it didn't wake up.

    Yep, he was a big old boar that had probably had his bum kicked by the younger males.

      we had better get this thread back on track.
      If the lawn is looking a bit yellow in patches you may have leather jackets , if you have a sack or a old blanket (get the neighbours gossiping:snork:) lay on the lawn then give it a soak with a watering can and leave alone for 24 hours peel back and you should be able to pick them off the lawn as they will all come to the surface.

        Will the oatmeal hurt other wildlife like birds or hedgehogs if they eat it? Just curious...

              Just a word about using coffee grounds. I used to do this but read (and also saw) that they can go mouldy. Not sure if it depends how dispersed they are or not.
