The very best to you and yours @Sheal. Not that far from me now so if you are needing plants etc just let me know. Wasn't a million miles from Inverness yesterday. Went to watch The Braemar Gathering.
We really enjoyed it. Beautiful location, great atmosphere as 1000s of people but not a lager lout in sight!, very olde worldy sort of event with loads of laughter and yet some great athletic performances. The massed pipes and drums really are a sight and sound to behold and yes as usual for god knows what reason reduced both myself and my daughter to tears, so emotional and yet I'm NOT an SNP/Independence voter OMG the heavyweight men doing tossing the caber etc was amazing. Lots of military teams doing tug of war and lovely performances from children doing highland dancing. Pity the weather was a bit iffy.Gorgeous day the day before and today but yesterday it did stay dry until about 3 pm just in time for the Queen to turn up in what is locally known as heavy mist (quite heavy rain to you and me!)! She and Phillip still managed slopes and step with NO sticks....amazing.
Definitely recommend going, we enjoyed it so much we are already thinking about going again next year.
Keep in touch and if there is anything I can do to help once you are up in Inverness don't hesitate to ask.

We love Scotland especially the Isle of Mull and the Orkney Isles.We said when we were younger that we would love to live in Scotland but I don't think my joints would like the damp conditions now we are older and the midges have never been our favourite insect

Wishing you well, for your move,mans finding a new home. Having done a relocate just a few years ago, it works well if you choose to approach it as a positive, rather than negative. Let us know what seeds you want sent up to you, and I think Silu was offering lots of plants to split...?!

Nahhh! I've decided against the castle @shiney, to many stairs.

I can't take them with me @wiseowl as my house contents will be going into storage for a while. We will be renting a property until we find a new home to buy.

Hmmm, looks like I'll have to take my chances with them @Sandy Ground.

Duck? Duck! That's an insult to my Oystercatcher @Zigs ! Yes, he'll be staying for the time being.

Not a problem @fat controller, I'll see if I can hire a couple of reindeer and a sleigh.

I have arthritis @Kandy and I already live on a damp/wet island so it won't make any difference to me.
