Came home yesterday to find a greenhouse on my doorstep!! 4 weeks delivery?? More like 4 days! Mustn't grumble I suppose, but I had no communication at all from the company - didn't even know they'd received my order!!

Still - my brother is here for the week and wants to get a tan! Very sunny in my back garden!!

I went for the Halls one in that link I posted, with a few extras like more ventilation. John gave me £300 to pay for it, so i paid for the extras!

Put the base frame together to plan the plot - trying out different spacings! Need to level off the area next - it's scorchio out there, so doing a little at a time! I'm off for the week so should be able to set it all up easily in that time.

    You're right - can't wait to get some life in there! :D :D :D

John came to help and levelled the ground for me. I had imagined the GH going here...

but realised there wasn't enough space to get to the hedge. So tried it over the manhole cover...

Then tried it here... and there...

    [IMG] [IMG]

    before deciding on here...

So John has dug holes for the posts and I've treated the fence panel. Tomorrow I'll fix the panel up and set the posts in concrete. Then it's deciphering the instructions for the rest of the frame!!

Sarah try to have the ridge running east to west that way you get full sun on the maximum area of the greenhouse an important point when you need all the sun you can get in winter.

Hi Walnut. Thanks for your pointer. I had read about that. True east to west would be at an angle across the garden. 90 degrees from where it is now would gain a bit more sunshine, but I'd have to have it further away from the fence as the garages above would shade it in the later part of the day. The flippin drain cover doesn't help but I decided that should be outside - incase they ever turn up looking for it!!

Looking good Sarah now all you have to do is to find the time to place all the thing together and remember ladies don't swear! :D
