I am grateful to the BBC for Poldark, just watching it on iplayer. Loving the scenery and enjoying the yarn.

Having a lovely sister and partner.

My sister gave me some bad news and they both comforted me as I started crying, in public too. Knowing there are people out there who care for me I am grateful for.

Thanks, but this is something I had to deal with myself and the other parties envolved. :coffee:

I'm happy with what arrived in the post the other day. :blue thumb:

It's a thank you present from the AA for having been a member for 50 years.

A hard backed leather bound special edition of their road Atlas. It has a lot more than the normal ones that you buy, including maps of over 80 towns, districts and ports.

The attached, silk page marker also has a large (quarter page size), plastic magnifier on the end of it. I suppose that if you've been a member for 50 years they think your eyesight might not be too good! :old::lunapic 130165696578242 5:

they have removed all the ivy from their side ready and dug out two of the stumps. they cant get the other two out because of he angle with the fence

                      My lovely work colleagues
Had a really rotten day on Tuesday and my lovely co-workers rallied around, to lift the day for me!
I really appreciated their support and kindness.

Today I am grateful for being able to make (badly needed) use of something I found.

A few days ago I saw a discarded large black umbrella (broken) and thought that the material might come in handy as a liner for a pot container. (I favour assembling my own pots these days...e.g. from a suitably sized, varnished wicker basket, I am very disappointed by the lack of variety with pots available).

However, I wake up to find yet another break in to my lovely back garden (despite reinforcing the barriers) with blatant displacement of items rather than outright vandalism. I saw that some wire had been pressed down on the shed roof so I immediately hit on the idea of using the umbrella spokes to reinforce that section! [IMG]

Today, I have spent a total of 8hrs on the road for a 4 hour visit to my son - so I have much to be grateful for! Primarily though, I am grateful that I made it there and back again safe and sound (those motorway drivers get worse)! And, because of that, I was able to spend 4 brief, but enjoyable, hours with the lad. Life is good :dbgrtmb:
