Today I am grateful that my mother has overcome a significant hurdle/imminent crisis. We were told that she may not make it past this weekend....that may well still be the case but she has perked up a lot and that is a blessing.

Today I was grateful for some sunshine and a much warmer day enabling me to have my door and windows open and carry on with my painting!!

Today I am grateful for the kind words someone said to me in the hospital ward my mum is in. I had a distressing day (something went wrong with an important order...I cry easily these days being at a low ebb) so I really welcomed what transpired.

She was another patient on the same ward as my mother. She beckoned me to her as I was leaving and said she was touched by how I interacted with my mother....said she could see the love there and conveyed that my mum appreciated me and other words that consoled me. It was almost as if she was there to bring me some comfort...she appeared somewhat angelic to me. It was an unexpected but poignant encounter.

Sometimes @rosebay people step across our paths to make our journey more pleasant - so, so pleased to read the person stepping across your path brought you consolation at a time you most needed it :grphg:

Today, I am most grateful for a random act of kindness, from a fellow GC'er, who brought a lump to my throat and warmed my heart through it. Certain types of people really do stop you in your tracks some days.

Today I am grateful for something I anticipated not taking place. Usually the disturbed neighbour manages to break into my back garden and I invariably wake up on Monday mornings to find my garden vandalised. I had made a more concerted effort last week with further barricading envisaged entry possibilities (e.g. where she had pushed down the wire on my shed roof).

Today my garden was as I left it - nothing broken or chucked around .... and it was sunny! I was so relieved! :)

Well...that's one way of looking at it! I hope the pains subsides soon....I suppose you have tried light massaging the painful areas? I invariably find that the pain disperses. It feels like the last thing you want to do but, after briefly feeling more painful, I often find it can cure the situation. I use small circular motions with fingertips, starting lightly but getting deeper and you can feel it working.

That's like the old Chinese proverb that says:

"If you're old and you wake up in the morning with no aches and pains - your dead!" :heehee:

Lots of folk have problems with health issues so I am so glad for good health. Also glad for this nice mug of tea that I will recycle later.

Nike sky hi's which are trainers with a wedge heel in them

They are amazing for helping me walk when my legs are a bit wobbly and not coping in flats and so i don't have to use a walking stick. They are the best invention ever and they just feel like your wearing normal trainers.
