Thanks, Jazmine. I'm not usually afraid of anything in the garden, but wasps give me the creeps.:flag: Those bulbs, Youngdaisydee will give you something bright to look forward to seeing next year. Isn't it nice when you can look so far ahead and feel good about it. Visions of my front garden for next year is sending my head in a spin...:hehe: I guess that it's thought of all the work I've got to do to achieve the end result that's doing it.:lollol:

    Today was a busy one.
Removal of a very old and past its best rose of Sharon bush from the front garden.

To be replaced by a bit of a rockery.
I am now happily knackered and ready for a shower.
What made it such a nice day was It was like a community project.
At one time we had two of our neighbors helping out.
This is the finished area at end of play. Still need to plan and work on the remaining front.

Today despite me feeling under the weather hubby and I spent most of the day in the garden doing our "projects"
I went to Morrisons and bought more bulbs, one pack of red feathery tulips and another of a red mix . I planted them, also put in pansies and those small cyclamen plants. This is the most effort I have put in and I think it's because of the enthusiasm of members here so thanks everyone. :)
Here are some pics of our work [got the camera going, it was full dohhhhhh]

We had to dig out our Hydrangea as it was full of disease so hubby laid some centre blocks, put sand then small stones so we could place our Cordyline in the space. He then turfed the gaps in the lawn.

This was the space after the big tree was removed.

Here it is after my work. I added three shrubs, Autumn stock and the cyclamens in the front [after the pic was taken!] I am pleased with the results.

You have been hard at work, Robert, and I'm sure that once that area is flowering, it'll look all the better for it. Jazmine, I hope that you are feeling much better now? I can see that you've been very buzy too, and the results speak for themselves, they look wonderful. Woo, great job as usual, the gate and those lions look super! Well done all...

    Thanks strawman.
Todays project is to continue out front.
To install more edgeing and remove another unsightly bush and replant with fresh plants. I have not a clue as to what to plant there yet.

    Hello everyone,
It's lovely to see what we are all doing, it gives me ideas too.
Robert you have been busy, your borders look nice and full. I know the "knackered feeling" :hehe:

I think I have a fluey type thing, hope it's not swine flu. I felt worse last night :(

Woo you have so much of interest in your garden. It is like different "rooms" each part revealing something new. I love the gate and the lions :)

It's lovely to see all the dedication here.

Really hope you are feeling better soon J.
I hate it when I`m poorly and feel for those that are,
Anyhow. To continue out front today.
First picture shows another bush past its best and ready for removal.
After much struggling and swinging of axes it gave up its grip on the earth.
Once again we had help from a friend and use of empty green bins from neighbors. I love living here....
About four hours later a new border and edgeing is laid and now awaiting re planting.
I have 200 bulbs and a few heathers looking for a home, I`m thinking that is just the spot.

Hi Robert -thanks for your concern. I still feel like death but being outside helps :)

Your border looks lovely, it is so neat and tidy. It is hard work but so rewarding to see the results. We have good neighbours here too.

We [or rather hubby] tackled the side border and the bit behind our seat today. I have included a pic to show he does exist :hehe: and he does a lot of work :hehe: The bit behind the bench is where I have my hedgehog box, I am really hoping for a resident this year.
